God is
our refuge and strength, an ever
present help in trouble. Therefore
we will not fear, though the earth
give way and the mountains fall into
the heart of the sea…
~Psalm 46:1-2
Recovery groups are offered
for those areas which thrive in a
group or community setting by
offering support, encouragement, and
accountability. Healing does not
happen through discussion only –
each group member will be
responsible for individual
assignments as well. The following
are brief descriptions of some of
the recovery groups that Connection
Counseling offers.
Addiction Recovery Groups (All types
of addiction): Weekly groups of
eight individuals of the same-sex
who seek to establish their
relationship with Christ and apply
biblical principles to their
recovery. Materials will be provided
which are specific to the area of
addiction. We also use the
Christ-centered twelve steps in this
recovery process.
Physical and Sexual Abuse Recovery:
Weekly groups of eight individuals
of the same-sex who seek to
establish their relationship with
Christ and apply biblical principles
to their recovery. Materials will be
provided which are specific to abuse
experienced within that group.
Domestic Violence: These groups
exist to support victims of
violence. Specific materials will be
given to promote healing and
decision-making. Same-sex groups
will meet weekly to emphasize
building a stronger relationship
with Christ and offer the support to
apply biblically based principles of
relationships to each member’s life.
